This Eid al-Adha, families gathered at JOALI BEING to reconnect deeply and celebrate joyfully. Inspired by the spirit of generosity, togetherness and reflection at the heart of the season, the island unveiled a thoughtfully curated programme of experiences from 25 to 31 May 2026, blending the heartfelt traditions of Eid al-Adha with the mindful well-living of JOALI BEING.
At the centre of this year’s celebration was an exclusive culinary residency featuring Chef Nawal Alkhalawi, a Saudi chef trained at Le Cordon Bleu and a certified health coach. Joining the well-living island from the Red Sea shores of Jeddah, Chef Nawal interpreted Middle Eastern cuisine through a modern lens, weaving heritage, storytelling and wellbeing into immersive experiences.
On 29 May, the table was laid for a refined seaside dinner inspired by Saudi family traditions, shared rituals and migration stories. Unfolding a journey from the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean, Chef Nawal presented vibrant Middle Eastern dishes that highlighted regional ingredients and reimagined timeless recipes. Loved ones gathered for a feast of soulful flavours by the water’s edge, surrounded by JOALI BEING’s warm hospitality.
The celebrations continued on 30 May with a hands-on workshop at the Culinary Learning Centre, where Chef Nawal brought generations together through the joy of cooking. Families explored stories, flavours and rituals that bridged cultures across the ocean — a celebration rooted in creativity and connection.
Throughout Eid week, JOALI BEING hosted a series of engaging culinary experiences for children and families.
On 27 May, the Eid Sunset Soirée brought guests together at golden hour for soulful rhythms, meaningful moments and serene views across the endless ocean.
At JOALI BEING, Eid al-Adha was more than a celebration — it was an invitation to rediscover the joy of meaningful moments shared with those who matter most. Through culinary storytelling, intimate gatherings and vibrant discoveries, each experience honoured the festive spirit of togetherness while reflecting the island’s unique philosophy of well-living.
