Feleksan Onar
Istanbul, Turkey
Istanbul-based glass artist Felekshan Onar is known for creating “magic with glass”. Her expertise ranges across several techniques, including blowing, casting, fusing, lamp-working and cold-working. Her perennial muse is Pera, a fascinating neighbourhood in Istanbul, where she can easily get lost chasing her dreams down the colourful and chaotic streets.
In 2011, Onar founded Fy-shanGlass Studio with the aim of designing and producing limited-edition functional art, sculptural objects and lighting. The studio’s collections are inspired by a wide range of sources, and also benefit extensively from Onar’s artistic career as she continues to exhibit her work in destinations like Berlin, Stockholm, Venice and New York.
