JOALI BEING Celebrates Easter in Harmony

A fine cup of tea holds a journey of discovery.

This Easter, JOALI BEING invited sojourners to rejoice in the spirit of renewal at the first wellbeing island of its kind in the Maldives. Embracing Easter's harmony, guests embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery and revitalisation, finding their own path to a feeling of freedom, wonder and lightness — what we call the Joy of Weightlessness.

At JOALI BEING, we believe the true essence of Easter lies in harmony. Harmony within yourself, with nature, and with loved ones. Drawing on this theme, our 2024 Easter celebration created opportunities for guests to find alignment with the natural world, rekindle their energies, and share meaningful moments with their dearest loved ones.

Easter Activities

Guests participated in a wide array of daily wellbeing experiences, including gratitude meditation, chakra dancing, breathwork, sound baths, reflexology, Aufguss sauna rituals, and a variety of yoga sessions (aerial, vinyasa, paddleboard and more). AKTAR, our on-island herbology centre, hosted workshops for making all-natural facecare products and learning the benefits of therapeutic teas.

Guests also embarked on adventures into the vibrant marine world around JOALI BEING, from guided snorkelling and jet skiing to semi-submarine tours and dolphin cruises. Our marine biologists introduced the island’s sustainability initiatives, with guests of all ages enthusiastically participating in coral planting experiences.

Our tennis and Padel courts saw plenty of exhilarating games amongst family and friends, along with several other active pursuits unfolding across the island, including Easter runs, functional training, mat Pilates and circuit training. Kids enthusiastically joined classes in fitness, Zumba and Qi Gong, especially customised for young guests.

The festive season also brought delectable discoveries for our epicurean guests, from family culinary workshops to cocktail & mocktail classes to tea celebrations with the Master Tea Sommelier. Evenings were illuminated with gastronomical journeys in atmospheric settings, including Maldivian-themed dinners, traditional Easter spreads and elegant caviar-and-tea soirees.
